Ledger® Live Desktop

Download the Ledger® Live application for Windows, macOS, or Linux from the official Ledger website. Once downloaded, open the installer and follow the prompts.

• Use the USB cable provided to connect your Ledger® Nano X, Nano S Plus, or Stax to your computer.
• Open Ledger® Live and follow the setup instructions to initialize your device if it’s new, or restore it from an existing recovery phrase.
• Set a secure PIN code on the device during the process.

• Ledger® Live will guide you to write down your 24-word recovery phrase securely.
• Store this phrase in a safe location. Do not store digitally.
• Never share your recovery phrase. Ledger® staff will never ask for it.

• Within Ledger® Live, open the "Manager" tab.
• Install apps for the cryptocurrencies you want to manage.
• Add accounts for each crypto type to start sending and receiving funds securely.

• Generate a receiving address in Ledger® Live and verify it on your device screen.
• To send crypto, enter the recipient address and confirm the transaction on your Ledger® device.
• Always double-check addresses. Cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed.

Ledger® Live will notify you when updates are available. Regularly updating both the software and your device firmware ensures maximum security.

• Use a unique PIN code and consider enabling passphrase protection.
• Only install Ledger® Live from the official website.
• Avoid using public or untrusted networks when managing funds.
• Regularly verify your recovery phrase and backup safely.
